It really warms my heart to see Chelsea losing, and the media losing their damn minds over their anointed club. I have Sirius in my truck to stay on top of the World Game. And the Soccer channel, really do talk about Chelsea and Liverpool a lot. One thing they've been hammering on is how unhappy Carlo Ancelotti is at Chelsea. It's made me think, well if he's so unhappy and ready to get fired, why doesn't he make the drive to Liverpool? Could I be living a pipe dream?
Yes he has said, that the only other club he'll ever manage is Roma, which is admirable. But that job isn't opening anytime soon. (Well me thinks). So why not stay in England where, to be honest he can win and win big? Yeah, going back to Italy and winning at Roma is nice, but if you win a cup or seven at Liverpool, you are a God in football. Yes, he's already very well thought of in the sport, but think about it this way, you bring Liverpool back, and you can piss off the Russians at Chelsea.
His style of play? Well as he said in a press conference which the Guardian picked up: "I think some things we have changed since I arrived, and this team has an identity now," said Ancelotti. "Now we have to improve even more. The system of play is a little bit different but we keep possession and play attacking football. Our aim is to keep control of the game with possession of the ball."
Alas, a manager who doesn't sit back, take the draw and play defensive crap ball.
