What has to be done this off season?
There are countless blogs on the web surrounding the summer buying period for the squad and how many players need to come in. Because of the Liverpool Way, we’ll never know who they are looking at, and what they are disusing. And I like that. So many rumors are out there, and probably a lot of them are generated by the agents and teams. I don’t really care about the other teams.
Having worked in media like I have, I know most of this is to fill columns and get readership up. And there’s nothing wrong with that. I just am sick of the constant talking about players coming and going. So guess what I’m going to do, talk about players coming in.
Sarcasm sometimes really helps a blog.
Ok, so what do we really need?
FB, CD, Wingers, and some more youth. There’s so many players out there, and we should have them all to be honest. You should want to play for a big club if you are a player. You should want to play for Liverpool. I’m going to shoot for the moon on alot of these players, because that’s what transfer rumors are.
FB- Daniel Alves – Barca. Yeah, probably never coming over to England, but he’s a wonderful player, and has accomplished so much in Spain. Could move to England to spark a new challenge in his life.
CB – Micah Richards – Man City – like many people I’m divided on him. He’s a decent player, and fits the home grown player rule we need. Is he better than Danny Wilson? Probably, but he’d be a very good wave, off the bench, or injury replacement.
CB – Gary Cahill – Bolton – probably better than Richards. Very sought after right now, and probably going to be overpriced. But we don’t have to worry about money right now.
Wingers – Ashley Young and Stewart Downing Aston Villa – two player who were rumored to be on their way to Liverpool in January, and players King would love. I’m not sold on Downing, but if Kenny likes him, I’m good.
Wingers – Charlie Adam – Blackpool – he’s coming in the summer anyway.
Winger – Alex Chamberlain – Southampton – need to get him before Man U gets him.
That’s my view. what’s yours?
