Reading a fan post by Jason B regarding Stevie-G and whether he should be taking set pieces got me thinking about the captaincy of Liverpool next season.   Let’s take his thoughts one step further.  Before you all think I am committing heresy I love Stevie-G and think he is a fantastic player.  Given his extended absence this season brings to light some questions. 

-Has he passed his prime – I think without a doubt he has but he can still offer a lot to the team.

-Will he remain crocked next season – only time will tell?

-How much can he contribute with an aggressive summer transfer season planned?

So I would like to bring this discussion to the forum to discuss if Stevie G should remain as Capitan next season.  If not who should step up in his place.  Should Jamie fill that void or should he remain as Vice Capitan and should someone else fill the role.  Perhaps an emerging Lucas, fantastic penalty taker Kuyt, or world class Pepe?
