Hi all -
I'm a huge fan, fairly new to this board but been following the team for a number of years through ups and (sadly, mostly) downs. I'm planning a trip to Liverpool over my winter break this year to see my red men play and to tour Anfield (I'd never forgive myself if they built a new stadium and I never got the chance to see it). The two games I'm looking at going to are home v Newcastle on 31 December and home v Stoke on 14 January.
My question is this: what is the cheapest way to go about securing tickets? I know that I can buy an LFCNY supporter's club membership for I believe $20 and try to get tickets through them, but I'm not sure if that would be a guarantee. I really don't want to shell out the cash for an LFC membership just so I can go to one game - is there any other alternative? Will ticket sales open to the general public at some point? Will it be too late by then? I would absolutely LOVE to sit (stand) in the Kop end, but being there at all is more important to me.
Thanks a bunch!
