Dowd

giving richards a thorough explanation of his penalty after the end of the half

by NC Nole on Jan 25, 2012 8:34 PM GMT reply actions

Great half

Kenny’s really must have put his size 12 up their asses. Liverpool were in complete control with most of City’s possession in very nonthreatening areas of the pitch.

The penalty was a bit harsh on Richards, but Liverpool were definitely deserving of a goal.

I hope Kenny doesn’t try to park the bus, or Airbus, like last time.

Bellamy needs to play alone up top more often. He is harrassing the City back 4 and forcing them into bad decisions and errant passes.

Downing has made a few good runs and has hustled relentlessly. He is looking like the Downing of the first few games of the season.

Stevie G = class

Adam playing very well. He and Gerrard are switching back and forth as the holding mid, but Adam is staying further back. He is passing has been quite good tonight.

Yes.

He kicked him from behind in the ankle. Ball was gone from Dzeko’s foot and no one really complained for it surprisingly. Adam was going for the ball, he just went through Dzeko’s foot to try to get it.

Our best set going forward...

Bells and Suarez up front. Gerrard in the hole behind them. Downing wide left. ? wide right (Henderson or Kuyt I guess). With Lucas as holding mid (or Spearing since he’s out). And then the standard back 4, with maybe Kelly for Johnson or perhaps Kelly with Johnson playing wide right in attack (since he’s better there than Hendo or Kuyt).

Not my blog

I just write every once in a while, and not very well at that.

I was using the SB nation app and it was really acting funny. Just now it was saying that there were 198 comments, but only 163 were showing. Then I come on here and see all the comments that were missed. Some bug I guess. Your sub posts weren’t showing on my iPhone.

we aren’t playing it that way—i’m baffled. Maybe Dirk was tired.

I assumed that substitution was to waste a little time.

Gotta work off that £35M

Then he probably needs to pick up a 2nd job to start paying it off.

And we were singing hymns and arias... Much louder than Cardiff because we're in the Premier League!

Hopefully

City will be knocked out of Europa, but I do hope that they lift the PL cup as I don’t want those other Mancs lifting the trophy again!

Agreed on both counts.

We really need to beat the blue birds and lock up European football for next season.

Cardiff are huge rivals of my other club (Swansea City), so beating them will be extra sweet for me.

Would be nice to place 5th and say to hell with it, but I am getting ahead of myself

by NC Nole on Jan 25, 2012 9:47 PM GMT up reply actions

Would be. I think (not sure) that if we finish 5th and win the cup, Cardiff would get a Europa pass.

Never argue with an idiot. They'll bring you down to their level and then beat you with experience.

by wildcatlh on Jan 25, 2012 9:49 PM GMT up reply actions

That is correct.

If the winner of a domestic cup qualifies for Europa with a 5th place league finish, the cup runner up gets the spot.

Unfortunately, the blue bird keeper went nuts and saved 2 penalties.

Palace put another penalty over the bar. It’s pretty hard to win when you only score 1 penalty.

on the other hand Cardiff missed like 10 great chances during the 120 minutes, and launched the first PK into row Z.

Bye Travis and thanks for 2010! Good luck with the Brewers!

Left after City’s second goal out of fear I was a jinx in here.

I hope this interjects some spirit and passion for the rest of the season.

I expect us to announce the Texeira deals in the next few days. Hopefully David can add some attacking prowess that we have been missing!!! Not expecting a miracle but a few goals would be nice!

This was match #7 and he’d be back against Wolves. But he must have forgotten about the 1 match ban before the 8 match ban. You guys are all correct, as far as I can count.
