How bad was Van der Vaart's injury the other week that he doesn't even make the bench?

Not that I’m complaining.

And we were singing hymns and arias... Much louder than Cardiff because we're in the Premier League!

I read on Sky Sports that Harry had a bank account in Monaco.

The account was in his dog’s name. The article didn’t include the dog’s name, but if it was Droopy, that would be magical.

And we were singing hymns and arias... Much louder than Cardiff because we're in the Premier League!

and still think our best set is a 4-4-2 diamond, Kelly, Agger, Skrtel, Enrique in the back, Downing wide life, Johnson wide right, with Gerrard or Henderson behind a strike pair of [pick 2] Suarez/Bellamy/Carroll, and then Spearing (until Lucas returns) as the holding mid protecting the back 4.

obvious dive where Agger whiffed big time (if he had touched him, it’d be a foul, but he wasn’t close and Bale still ate turf). And then they each get in each other’s face. So glad we’ve had a healthy Agger all year.

No, Suarez!

Do not pass to Carroll when you have a chance to go on goal.

Right play or not, I just have no confidence in Carroll.

Despite him scoring the other week.

perfect cross from Gerrard, Suarez header from point blank

and right in to Friedel’s gut. Sumbich.

The best thing Carroll does is a headed flick on to a strike partner.

Not heading on goal or shooting, but just a simple flick on. He’s great at it (and I hate giving him credit for anything).

I wish they’d play him with a partner more often.

Wouldn’t change all his missed chances, but might lead to something more.

I don't mind a striker who doesn't score much if he gets an assist per match.

We can't cross

Kenny should just smack anyone who crosses the ball.

Which is one of the reasons I'm hesitant to blast Carroll

it’s not like he’s wasting chances, since we are so horrible giving them to him.

How many even half-decent chances does he have in each game? Really not that many, which is part of the problem.

This game he had a few.

by Bromantic on Feb 7, 2012 12:30 AM GMT up reply actions

I would say he had a couple. One big chance where he completely “slashed at the ball” and another where he headed the ball straight at Friedel. A lay off by Suarez was another decent one. Yet, most of our good chances did not come off of crosses, and the crosses didn’t put us it good positions to score.

I still think his movement is substandard and very predictable

And I think that leads to some of it, but yeah, the crosses aren’t helping either.

2 steps forward and one step back story of our season

You would not mind these draws with top of the table teams if we had took care of business against the bottom half teams

I always mind not getting full points against teams that are parking the bus and not even trying to get a goal. Especially when this type of game is at home. It doesn’t matter where the other team is in the table, we are god damn Liverpool.

This sucked

Something has to give. I have no idea why we can’t score. There isn’t one thing I can point to, but it has to stop.

looked pretty ugly for most of the match

Our corner kicks are absolutely terrible. Either way too high to the far post or too low/direct to the near post. Gerrard’s set pieces are better than Adam’s but it isn’t approaching good at all.
